One of the things I love about watching figure skating is seeing a little known skater give a lights-out star-making performance. Watch this freeskate from Latvian skater Angelina Kucvalska, from the European Figure Skating Championships a couple of weekends back. She came in fourth, but clearly won over the audience. Love seeing her thrilled coaches hugging, and the standing ovation she gets at the end.
